The special event showcased the variety of versatile event spaces on offer, highlighting the option to exclusively hire the entire museum for a takeover event, as well as celebrating Illuminate's 5th birthday. The evening also provided an important opportunity for the team to share the museum’s mission and values and how clients directly support this by hosting events at the museum.

The event was created in collaboration with esteemed partners, Moving Venue (catering), White Light (AV), Sternberg Clarke (entertainment), Lavender Green (florists) and Options GreatHire (furniture & tableware). Each partner contributed special touches to enhance the experience for guests, including a live teppanyaki station, unique lighting, beautiful floral arrangements, lively acts, and spring-themed furniture.

The evening began with a drinks reception in the scenic Smith Centre before guests moved up to Level 4 of Illuminate where a film highlighting the museum’s mission and values was projection-mapped onto the walls by White Light. At the heart of the Science Museum is innovation, which is reflected in its core values: Think Big, Reveal Wonder, Ignite Curiosity, Be Open For All and Share Authentic Stories. The film highlighted these values, underscoring the museum's commitment to breaking down barriers in STEM and delivering exceptional experiences for all.

Jodie Guilford, Business Development and Marketing Manager at the Science Museum, comments: “We wanted to create a special celebratory evening for clients old and new to not only showcase our event spaces and the opportunity to take over the entire museum for exclusive events, but more importantly to share what our clients’ support means to the museum and how they contribute to our wider mission and values. By hiring the Science Museum, clients are helping to break down ‘not for me’ STEM barriers and make STEM engagement accessible, relevant, and exciting. With their incredible support we’re able to continue to inspire future generations.”
